I had one of those Task Force boxes for a while. Just keep in mind its an extremely light duty box. Any weight in the drawers or excessive use and you'll be shopping for a new one.

I have been waiting on those vices to go on sale around me for a while wood rail. What store did you get them if you don't mind me asking?

They did the markdown yesterday morning in the Elyria store. I cleaned them out.

Amherst has nothing. Worker there said they were "recalled". He's full of ****.

They are good for interior use I have found. Hobbies like sewing, gunsmithing, model building, electronics, costuming, art, etc. Add a nice beefy handle or set of handles on one end and it is a nice mobile work center to use with your hobby stuff. Add on a folding shelf and you've got a nice rig.

I've used them for dedicated use before. One has a large laminator on it with a plugin strip bolted to the side and dedicated extension cord so it's always there. Drop in all my laminating supplies, badge clips, punch, etc and it's a one stop mobile center for my needs. I did replace the original casters with some nice HF all swivel units with brakes that really improved the usability over carpet and laminate flooring.

When/If I build the new outdoor shed, I may move them to there instead for local tool storage of less used items.

The ones locally are still holding about the $51.00 price. They had two and someone bought one for that price already.

How long did they keep yours at the higher price until they finally marked them down to $12?

I bought the clamps 6 weeks ago or so. I now have 4 wood vises ($3.50 each. I put 2 on one bench and gonna put two on my other), a 4 inch vice I got for $9, and a 4.5" vice I bought on accident for $3.50. Don't really know what I'm going to do with the other two vices now but I got them if I need them.

Stopped back at the Auburn, WA Lowes to check on that bottom cabinet that was supposed to be the two piece tool chest for $25 (marked $94 at the store, $5 off! Wow! Such a deal! Not!) It's still available online for $25 if you buy it online. When I looked at it in person, the bottom chest is there, but if you open the bottom door- sure enough, the top chest is there too, just how it gets packed in the box. I didn't have to go to another store after all. Drat!

I was tempted to buy it for $25, but geez, don't need yet another.

You got an excellent deal. At those prices there's nothing wrong with having a few extras. You will find a use for them sometime in the future, for sure.

The way the Lowes here did it was to mark all their Bessey stuff down about 10% and left it that way for several weeks. Nothing moved so they marked most things down another 10% again. That got things like the long bar clamps thinned out. After about two more weeks, they suddenly marked most of the stuff down about 90% and one or two guys "noticed it" and bought most of it the same day. An associate that was working that day said a guy came in and saw the prices and immediately went after a shopping cart and loaded it up with everything it would hold. By the next day the only things remaining were some spring clamps and a few vises that were only marked down from $79 to $51. So, when Lowes wants it gone... it's gone. And being friends with the store manager might be the only way to know exactly when that is going to be. :dunno:

I got lucky and saw this thread and immediately left work and went down and checked the local store. Tally.'do up the regular prices on everything I got and it added up to about $1600. I paid around $160. I got married and gave up my two motorcycles for two kids and a beautiful wife, sold my airplane about 6 months ago and haven't quite found the deal I'm looking for on my next one so I really just began the hobby of building stuff to keep busy and get my mind off work stuff. It was really sweet starting my clamp collection off with a deal like that. Hell just getting my garage turned into a workshop has probably cost me more than I would've spent on my airplane in that 6 months. But I've built my wife a desk and started on some patio furniture so she's happy.

Can someone PLEASE  post an in store price tag or pic of their receipt that shows this box being sold @ $10

Just ordered two of these for $10 each. Nothing special, but will work well on a shelf for parts and my pile of warranty receipts. lol! Also, reviews say it's made by Waterloo. Worth trying I guess.

Just bought two of the TaskForce stacks for about $34ea total after tax which I will use for consumables and misc. light storage under my bench. I plan to use the top boxes on the benchtop. Great deal really! They are made by Waterloo according to the included warranty card and they have classic Waterloo friction slides like my old school cm box. Typical thin metal for a cheap box, but not horrendous especially at this price point.

FYI: I also used the coupon code 47000RRRRR2404R for an additional 10% off

IMO the friction slide TaskForce chest/cabinets were too thin for my uses so I passed on them. The BB Taskforce base cabinets are much better and supplies are very limited

The 18T were $1.98 each in my store, but the 24T were still $7.98.

There was a Nicholson hacksaw for $3.98, last one in my store.

Screwdriver is 29.97 in my store no thanks. How's the quality ?
The quality is pretty good. It seems plenty strong as I have torqued it pretty good and it has broken or slipped. It isn't quite as smooth as the Snap On, but for the price it can't be beat. As a bonus, the shafts from the Kobalt set will work with my Snap On handle.
