Way to go. I thought you had a day off from the office.
^^^ THIS!!!
Like I said, ECS will bend over backwards to help you. All you have to do is let them know that there's a problem and provide appropriate documentation. BTW, glad to see that you got the $200 gift card after our email exchange.
If anyone is having problems with orders getting cancelled for no good reason, do call them. I recently did an experiment to prove that the "web inventory is not real time" excuse and the "are counts are always off by 1" excuse are bogus.
I can place 10 orders for an item at full retail, and when there's only 1 in stock every store will fill it. But if the price is at 15% of retail and there's only 1 in stock, I can place 10 orders at 10 different stores and not one store will fill it -- every time the order gets cancelled.
What's the difference? When all of the stores show 1 non-stock item in inventory, the employees will divert the item to their hands by cancelling the order EVERY TIME that the price is at 15% of the retail price, but won't do that when the item is expensive. Coincidence? I think not.
This kind of problem is not visible to Lowes Corporate, because of the way store employees are playing the game. Lowes Corporate doesn't know that your orders are getting cancelled inappropriately if you don't notify them. They can't do anything to fix these kinds of problems unless they get reports of these types of occurrences. And if they receive reports of these types of occurrences, they WILL contact the store management to investigate them. If you see this happening to you, collect proof and call ECS. Seriously. Lowes Corporate is interested in hearing about these problems and stopping them, but they can't do anything if they don't know about them.
More people need to call them so that they will understand how pervasive of a problem this really is. Then they might have some incentive to change the way the stores handle order cancellation instead of allowing anyone who may have a conflict of interest cancel your order.
Why didn't you just keep the other one.

Don't be surprised when unsubstantiated cases aren't handled the same way that substantiated cases are handled. As you might expect the outcomes will be decidedly different.
BTDT. Those guys at FedEX are just as bad -- they can't tell the difference between "N" for North and "S" for South on my street address.And... UPS shipped the replacement handle and depth gauge for my Dewalt rotary hammer to the wrong address. Another hour on the phone with UPS and probably another week+ to wait for another one to be sent
It isn't complicated. You're making claims and you say you've got proof. If you've got proof of your claims just send it to them.

I can't tell you how many times I've had stuff delivered to the guy on the other side of town, or received stuff that was supposed to go to his house. Last time this happened I had to spend several hours on the phone with FedEx, and they continued to claim that it was not their fault. Bottom line: somebody at FedEx has a job of taking a hand-addressed label on a package and typing it into their system. From that point on FedEx ignores the original label and relies solely upon the address that is input into the system, not what the package's original label says on it. Basically it took hours of research to establish that some lame-*** typist at the FedEx depot in Texas continually screws up my address and causes packages to go to the wrong place.
I was at my local lowes today they took out the clearance section in tool world. Only a few scattered tools on clearence here and there in the pegs but no great deals.
If the system that they use in your address is the same as the one here it will show that the driver was in the wrong place. I'm a package car driver for ups and can say that for every delivery there are three gps points. Where the truck was parked, where you were when you scanned the package and where you where when "completed". Not that it helps you get the parts any faster. Hope they find it or pay the claim quickly.I have a regular house on a regular street. They said it was "left at my back door" then something about "apartment K". Couldn't really understand him because he sounded like he was from India, but I replied "I don't live in a ****** apartment. You just read me my address. Do you see an apartment number??" Claim submitted. "Under investigation" as they put it. Meanwhile, emailed Dewalt about it.
I wouldn't be surprised if we were at the same store. Maple shade store right off of rt38 and rt73?
Well my $5 pin nailers shipped.
I goy a call they weren't in stock. I only ordered 1
They have quite a system don't they.shipping or store pickup? if you ordered for shipping, you should be getting it. if it was store pickup, the employee more than likely doesn't want to fill your order (lazy, or keep it for himself, or they really can't find it).
ordering items for shipping doesn't always come from the store that you're logged in to. I was logged in to Seabrook, NH when I ordered my flooring nailer and 2 pin nailers.
The flooring nailer is coming from Madera, CA.
Originally it said one of the pin nailers was coming from N.Windham, ME and the other was coming from Conway, NH. Somehow that changed, and they ended up getting shipped from Quincy, MA.
I'm pretty sure that orders for shipping keep getting bounced around from store to store that have the item at or lower than the price you ordered for. If no stores are found, the order gets cancelled. In other words, if you ordered something for $5, the order wouldn't get sent to a store that lists it for $10.
I paid $25 for the flooring nailer. One of the notices I got said the nailer shipped from CA was listed at $22 and change.
Only problem with shipping is you need $45+ for free shipping

Found 2 Pneumatic Nailer available per their online system for $5.79, placed the order. 10 mins later, I got a cancel phone call. Called Corporate office, she was able to look at their store inventory. Sold one out of two between the time my order was cancel and the phone call to corporate office. Tells me there is one more available. I was able to give her the name of the person who pulled my order. She talked to him.
