Not sure about the snap on, but I know they fit in the Gearwrench drivers. May give you another way to look into the SO compatability.

Thanks. That helps a lot, because I remember hearing that Gearwrench shafts work in the Snap-on ratchet screwdrivers, so it sounds like the Kobalt ones should work too.

The shaft with the wobble end, the regular bit shaft, and the short bit shaft would be useful to me. One of the item pictures shows the short bit shaft as being a regular socket extension instead, so I am not sure I would even get it. I don't know if the magnetic shaft design would work with many of my various 1/4" sockets so I am undecided on that one. The flex end shaft is the disappointing part of the set. It only has one swivel point, so it is not like a real universal with two swivel points to allow for full rotation during angled use. The end of the Kobalt shaft works just like the swivel head on a HF $10 breaker bar. I am not sure that would ever be very useful attached to a ratcheting screwdriver or even a regular screwdriver handle. I would be much better off just putting a universal and a socket on the end of a regular straight shaft.

if anyone is near bangor ME they have 351 white and 239 black at .02 thats a good deal! jordan creek IA has black at .01 but only 44 of them.

lots of stores listed having them at about .12 and under, near me they only have a few in stock, the ones that have enough for a normal job are .23, i dont think i need them bad enough for that price..

My local Lowes moved out the Christmas section for a clearance section. Mostly tile and vanities as well as some display power equipment. Many had tags that said "without battery"
A couple of tables and racks of odds and ends.

Thanks for posting, picked 2 up today. I've been looking for a wall lumber rack. They were in the garage organization shelving aisle in a display floor case, box is about 3'x6"x6". Label was 29.99 but it rang up 19.99.

X2 Thanks for this one on the Portamate lumber rack. I needed some of these for my wood milling and wood drying activities. Got a couple. - Paul

^ ^ ^ $16 would be a screaming deal. Stores around me range from $32 to $39 !! :eyecrazy:

I guess they sold fast at other stores or it was a mix up, stock never changed in my local stores but they are back up to full price? Seems to be happening to a lot of stuff in stores near me. Start to clearance them out then change their mind without selling any?

Thanks but I actually went in and was checking in person. The only thing they had marked down was that 250 pc Kobalt set for $80. That one rarely has the clearance sales the other ones do. I was able to get some of the individual sockets/extensions and drywall stuff a few months ago. If anyone was going there they still have some of that Maxaccess stuff and a few locking extensions on clearance.

Question. No deal. If you have a kobalt item that has a warranty and it breaks but they don't make said item anymore in kobalt brand. What does lowes do? Refund, give alternate brand, nothing?

Last I was told, it was replace with better or equal tool or refund....Refund could be tricky since it tends to show last clearance prices And I'm not sure if the refunds ding you as a return without receipt though since they ask for ID. I assume it could. The only time I did a warranty exchange at lowes for a broken kobalt tool they issued a gift card to buy a new one vs just swapping it out, they no longer carried that model.

They issued a gift card in the amount on a newer impact wrench when I warrantied a DOA clearance one, no stock left for the old model. Once they had the card active the tool guy brought over a new impact and they range it up at customer service.

How would this hold up for a garage floor?

I don't know, I am doing the same. From reading on the flooring forum, I think it has more to do with the glue or prep than the actual VCT itself. They are supposedly very durable and I set out on this route after looking up finished jobs on this forum.

The shelves 595512 were apparently never stocked in this area (PA) - the number is not even in the system. Just a heads up that this seems to be a local or regional item.
