Picked up the 59.00 air tool kit today. Also found this internal/external star socket bit set, shelf said 15.99 regularly 39.97. It rang up 39.97 but they saw the tag and honored the price.

Going to look for that Torx set. Interesting that the item number near the UPC is not the item number on the box.

My local stores show 39.97 on the web but Ill look in store tomorrow to see if ours are tagged 15.something like yours.

I really only need the security Torx, and could just as well get by with a Harbor Freight set but for $16.00 Id rather buy Kobalt

The 573358 is the new item number with the zerust case. The 240856 item number has been on clearance for some time. I think I paid $10 or so for mine. Looks like someone put them in the wrong spot which turned out good for you.

Typically they are the same. Torx is a trademarked name, so usually when you see "star bits" the manufacturer just didn't want to pay to be able to call them Torx bits.

There are five point fasteners out there, but they're pretty uncommon and mainly used where something is likely to be vandalized or where the manufacturer doesn't want you disassembling something. I've never seen five point bits in a brick and mortar store.

The ideal Coax Stripmaster wire strippers were marked down to $18 today. You can find the replacement blades for regular wire for $12-$15 on EBay. Item number is 111057.

I bought one yesterday. It rang up at the the higher price and I just showed the ******* the register the pictures on my phone from this post (I guess she thought I took the picture of the item on their shelf) and she over rode the price to the one in the picture. I did point out the part number on the box and the number on the yellow tag on the left side and they matched.. Be careful as the numbers printed on the yellow section don't match item shown in picture.. I guess someone goofed on printing the ticket..

Picked up the Micro Jig GRR-RIPPER GR-100 push block for $30 today. Down from $39.98 I think it was originally $59.98. 3 camels says it's never been below $58.54 on Amazon. Perfect accessory for all of those HD Dewalt table saws you lucky guys have nabbed. 3 left at my local store.

Most Lowes will not price-match other Lowes. On a rare occasion you can get one to do it if the other store is in the same district. Store-specific clearance prices almost always show online, unless it's scratch/dent/returns.
