You can pick them up from one store and return them to another without a receipt for store credit in the amount of the current price at the other lowes. Im sure people are gonna flame me for "fraud". but maybe lowes should evaluate their pricing policies.

If you see a cheap price at a far away Lowes, just go ahead and order it for pickup. When it is ready, call that store and tell them you want the item shipped to you. They will charge around $7.50

If the worker doesn't know what you are talking about, ask to speak to a manager. All Lowes will do this.

I hope this is the case, I just ordered a tool that is in Illinois and hope they ship to Cincinnati. Have you tried this before I assume?

That's really quite shady. They (Lowe's and Home Depot) offer a generous almost no questions asked return policy. No reason to exploit it.

39.99 here in nc
Hate regional pricing
These are the good German ones!

I'm not sure it's regional pricing, I really can't figure out how they price them. Of 4 stores within 15 miles of my house the prices range from 39.99, 21.99, and 18.99. I'm pretty sure all of these stores are in the same region. Heck 3 out of 4 are in the same county. I have no clue how their pricing works.

yea, i could never do that myself. but there is a voice asking me why i have 5 different lowes in my area and they all have different pricing. even on non clearance items.

Yes, and that is also incorrect in my experience. I went to return a clearance item I got and was all beat up but I got it from another store that was further from my house so I went to the closest Lowes to me. If you do not have a receipt it automatically rings up at the lowest clearance price it's ever been for sale for, at any Lowes.

Even the clerk said "This must be on clearance somewhere because I know this costs way more than that "

For those that are buying the Irwin pliers in-store, are they in the tool department with the other Irwin pliers, or are they somewhere else?

Think it depends on whether that store ever had it at a lower price. I'm just speaking from my experience.

The store I went to had them away from the other pliers but still in the tool department. They were on one of those vertical clip hangers on the side of the Irwin end cap.

Had a family member pick up a set of the Irwins for me.....the store they went to knew they were in stock (inventory count was 9) but it took them a while to find them. Guessing they were in overhead, not an end-cap or anywhere else on a shelf.

Yes I have done this numerous times with 100% success rate. Sometimes the worker does not know it is possible. I just ask to speak to the manager and they always know it is possible.

Thanks - it was successful today. $7.99 shipped to my door from Peoria. Took about 10 mintues to do over the phone but worth it for the savings.

Well, I just ordered 3 for pickup at the store EasyTiger864 posted. They were $9.99 each and I found a code for another 10% off. I'll call the store and see if they will ship.

Every single store I checked in MI, IN, OH, and IL were all full price.

Got two pair for roughly $15. For their clearance price, they're not bad. I wouldn't pay full retail for them though. They don't seem anywhere near the quality of my Knipex tools, but definitely good dykes.

They seem to cut very well and are high quality, though I don't care for the grips. They're huge!

Sorry I did not read your post carefully, I called the store yesterday and they told me that the store could not ship. Let us know if you hear otherwise please!

I'll let you know. I talked to somebody today who told me the shipping lady had already left for the day, but she would call me tomorrow. She didn't seem surprised by my request though.

Any employee who claims individual Lowes brick &mortar stores cannot ship products is misinformed. Need to talk to the manager/supervisor.

at my store, the tool guy had to go up to the storage area above the power tools to find them, they were full price and not even on display yet

I snagged a MAX 3.25-in x 0.148-in Roundhead Framing Pneumatic Nailer
Item #: 6403 | Model #: SN883RH2 for $60. Great deal in my opinion.

If anyone is interested in this nailer let me know. I went through all Lowe's stores nationwide and have a list of stores that have this on clearance. All the big deals are gone but there are still some in the $100 range ($85 after $15 off $50)

Chris

I picked one up $135, by a friends house I'm helping, then stopped by my local Lowes, n got a refund on the difference, from a $71 price.

FYI, u can remove the pin and use it as a bump fire or single fire, just depends on if u have the trigger pulled when depressing the cleat. Then if u want, just use the trigger safety, n lock the trigger.

My Bostitch FP21 is great, but the max is small enlighten to fit in smaller places...
With an addition coming up, I'm just going to leave the FP21 set up for metal connectors, n the max for the rest of the framing n sheeting...

Picked up the last two Irwins at the Ft. myers location, $ 6.00 each. All the other local stores still had them listed at $ 39. Don't make much sense .

Giving one to my son, he'll enjoy it.

Thanks for the heads up.

I've looked online at nearly every New England location, and the Irwin Powerslot diagonal pliers are 39.95. I did find out, however, that they are $6.94 in NE Anchorage, Alaska. lol

I just bought a pair of the Irwin diagonal cutters for $12.79. They were priced at $2.50 at another store about a week ago, but I never had a chance to go by that one. There's about 7 left, but they're not in the tool section. They're at the end of one of the aisles along with a whole bunch of other Irwin stuff.
