Thanks for the tip on the rotary hammer drill.

Passed the deal onto a friend that bought it.

The 10% from Renovo worked for me last weekend.

Lowes seems like they are at least trying to crack down on the "randomly" generated coupon codes. I dont think we've seen a 50 off 250 for a while now, but 20 off 100 or 10% off is better than nothing.

My local store has their display model only. It is a little grubby and has no box or anything. They will not price match but will cut the price to $80. I passed and left it there.

Just saw this and none to be found. Also saw a employee with a cart full of wicker rollup blinds then another employee grab two and take them to the main office telling a cashier there 75 cents, I don't even know if they will fit my windows? LOL

Hmm. Well I do see some blinds that are down from $40 to the $2.50 to $5 range. If you are interested, do a search for "blinds", filter for in-store only, then sort price high to low. When you scroll down to the $40 range you'll see a few. YMMV I guess, my local store didn't have any, but those prices are from the one near my work

SPN, could you post one item number for the blinds? Can't seem to find the heavily discounted ones :headscrat

Normally 34.98.
$4.00 & 7.99 shipping.
The trick is to find a store that has 0 in stock. The price changes to $4.00 and allows you have it shipped (which is rare for Lowes.). For me it was 7.99 for up to 6 sets. Then of course shipping becomes
higher. 13.99 for 7 sets.
Tried this in several midwest stores. not sure about other parts of the country.

So, what do you do when the only tool employee absolutely refuses to look behind the sliding overhead storage for something?

"It says only 1 in stock, we don't have it. That's just a non-working display model"
"It also says non-stock, so yeah, we don't have it"

Me: "well can you look in the overhead behind the sliding cover where all of the Hitachi stuff is?"

"It's not in there"

Me: "can you just take a look? Every time I've been told it's just a display model, I've proven the employee wrong"

"It's not in there. All of the power tool kits are up above, and it's not with them, so we don't have it"

Think I'll get **** for opening those sliding storage covers myself? That old buzzard was no help whatsoever. And, I bet if I complained to the manager, he'd tell me to pound dirt

2 Senco roofing nailers and 2 Senco staplers were behind the sliding covers, brand new unopened. They said those were non-working display models also

Go for it. What are they going to do... call the cops? Screw that old fart. That's not customer service, and I'm sure someone at their 800-number would be interested in hearing how he's not even remotely interested in helping.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not one to be disrespectful to store employees, regardless of their ranking, but when they act like asses, they need to be challenged. Without customers, he'd be sweeping the parking lot at a burger joint. Or just sitting on his porch, yelling at the neighbor's kids.

Almost nothing fires me up faster, than when I'm in a store and ask for help with something, and they act like you're bothering them. I'm not generally a scene-maker, but that will sure turn me into one.... fast.

Yea but you also have to slide open those huge covers lol

Can you just place the order online for store pickup, if it shows one in stock? I know I have done that and they had to look for the item, but found it in one of those bins

On the website it shows not in stock when you click to the product page, so can't order it online. However, in the search results, when you click "in store only", it shows up in the list. Same way I found the Senco stuff. When that happens, it usually means they have 1 left. I would imagine this is usually the display model, but as you can see from my post above, that's not always true.
