I'm up in Oregon this weekend and stopped by Lowe's in Milwaukie (south Portland).

2 Lineman's pliers #369 for $13.73 each (Amazon price $22.49)
1 Fishtape puller pliers #369CRFT for $21.49 (Amazon price $30.56)
1 Greenlee HD Cable Cutter #718 for $32.50 (Amazon price $65.00)

The price was higher in the Bay Area where I live and we pay insane sales tax. Oregon has no sales tax.

So funny, I stopped by that same Lowe's about a week ago and picked up a pair of Knipex pliers.

I don't know about the lowes in Oregon, but I just about fainted when my wife picked up a $23.00 dollar hammer (made in the U.S.A.) with a sales tag of $6.00 dollars. So I asked the tool guy at lowes if that price was correct and I even made him do a price check on it; sure enough it was $6.00 dollars plus some change and tax...You have never seen a hammer go flying out the door faster then the speed of light.

Funny, I was looking at those in Bend, Oregon last month. Wasn't sure if I could carry them onto the plane for the trip home. Ended up passing on them but looked long and hard.
