FWIW - since I'm home with a cold, I can be the on-the-spot reporter. Lowes flyer just came in the mail, says "Buy any 60 or 80 gallon compressor and get a $100 gift card by mail in rebate."

Oh? That would go well with the USPS 20% off coupon...

EDIT: apparently not at my local Lowe's... or at least not yet. I'll have to keep an eye out.

The 60 gallon compressors are too tall for the intended location in my garage. I'd like to find a similar deal on the 30-gallon one I'm in the market for now.

I don't see it available here (yet) either. Hopefully it will pop up soon. I was considering one as a gift to myself anyway

Just an update, if anyone is interested. The deal seems to be widespread, so check your local site in the weekly ads for it.

I just went by to buy the one at my local store. Of course, they had just one in stock, and when I went to buy it they said it's the floor model that they can't sell. Historically, they've never stocked more than one so I asked what one I can buy then. They said they have another one being delivered later this week, so I can have that one.

I went and paid for it, with my 10% USPS coupon and got the rebate receipt. Price out the door was $384.**. Figuring in the $100 card/rebate, I think $284 all said and done is a fair enough price for my needs.

The only issue I'm having is that the tool sales guy said I would get a call when it came in, while the customer service person who rung me out said I have to call every day to find out when it is in, since receiving won't know it is for me. They also gave me nothing saying I DIDN"T take one home with me today, so I am going to call and talk to the manager on duty to make sure there's no hiccups when it finally does arrive and I go to pick it up.

bonehead award for me. I guess my receipt was marked as "pick up later". Now I know why I learned to read, though I guess it only helps when I actually do it

The Post Office "Relocation" packets, which include all the forms to change address, etc, have a 20% off coupon for Lowes.

You can also pick up Lowes and HD coupons on eBay for cheap.

I usually buy 5 or so Lowes coupons every now and then so I have some on hand. I make sure the expiration dates are a few months into the future so I'll have time to use 'em. $5 spent on eBay can save you a bunch. Home Depot takes Lowes coupons and vice versa. They'll even take Menards and other competitors coupons.

When I put new shingles, fascia and gutters on my house this summer I easily saved $300 with coupons.

That reminds me.. I'm fresh out of coupons now. Need to get some more. :)

Looks like USPS no longer provides moving packet here in NJ. All they have now is a post card like instruction telling you how to do it online. I've tried like 3-4 different post offices near by with no luck finding moving packet.

+1 on the HD coupons. Lowes and HD are essentially the same store when it comes down to it. They'll reward any coupon from the competing store.

I found the same thing here. It seems they guard them a little more than they used to. A simple inquiry at the counter got me the full packet with coupons inside. Told the woman I didn't have internet access for a while:lol_hitti

Yeah, I had to ask at the counter last time I grabbed them. Guy asked me how many, I told him 4 and he handed them over. :D

Also, you can use teh coupon when ordering online and they don't ask for it when you go pick it up in store. I ordered some basement window well covers recently and the 10% saved me north of $40.
