Got an Ad on my Computer and figured id share it here. Link is for a 10% off your purchase at lowes. It was a "Moving coupon" so i guess just put random cities in those blanks. Never said you had to use the coupon for particular goods or services.

Not the hottest deal out there, but just a good all around coupon

If you've got a big purchase coming up it can be worth more.

You can get moving packets at your post office with the same coupon in them. They usually give me 2 or 3 every time i go in.

Yes, and Home Depot will honor it as well. I use one every time I shop at either store.

Both HD and Lowes will give military personnel 10% discounts. Just show your CAC card to the cashier. I won't shop there without it.

you're better off using this at home depot. someone has figured out how Lowe's generates the one use only coupon codes and has been using them. every time i've gotten a legitimate coupon for Lowe's in the last 8 months, they always deny it at the store saying that the machine claims it's already been used. occasionally i get lucky and the cashier overrides, but most of the time, they confiscate the coupon and deny.

^^^ Not necessarily true. It's YMMV depending on the store manager. Most HD's only accept real coupons vs. coupons printed from the internet.

Right... and some will even give you 10% just by asking for it.

I was at a HD a while back with my sister and brother-in-law to get them a gas grill as a wedding present. While we were checking out, I starting chit-chatting with the cashier and casually asked if she could do anything about the price. I actually didn't think I'd get anything... just trying to be funny. Without even blinking an eye, the cashier said, "sure, no problem" and proceeded to give me 10% off (no manager approval necessary). :rocker:

This is true. HD Cashiers can take off up to a certain amount without override. I asked once about a dented Aluminum barrel, and she took It from $23.99 to $15 no problem! When I got home I pulled out a hammer and had it looking almost new in less than 2 minutes

And yes both Lowes and HD both offer 10% military discount. Doesnt have to be memorial day or 4th of july like their ads say.

Pepboys, autozone, advance auto, and others do too!

20% HFT coupons are always no-go at Lowes. At Home Depot, maybe every now and then... depends on the cashier, but I've been denied enough times (at least 50% of the time) that I don't count on it or if it makes enough of a difference I won't buy the item and wait for another opportunity. Lowes and HD competitor coupon policy is a joke... totally at the discretion of the store manager and it's highly YMMV.

Lowe's coupons at Lowes is also becoming a joke, now that so many of them are scanning up as "already used" ...

that's why i just shop at harbor freight whenever i can now... they have NEVER hassled me on coupons.

Yeah one of my Lowes $10 off $10 showed up already used even though i had printed it that morning. Cashier took off $10 anyways :bounce:

Ive never actually made a purchase at HF. Been there with the intention of buying something but I just couldnt bear to pull my wallet out of my back pocket on that junk! Lol I sound like MickeyO!

Central Maine....Lowes always honors a vet. I have never had a problem getting the military discount.

Home Depot only discounts for active duty, and retired personel. Will not extend to any others, even a disabled vet!

I guess you can figure where I shop, when I go to the big city.

The home depot in windham no longer gives 10 percent across the board to vets. They make you sign up for an email program. Every month they send a coupon. Sometimes it's 15 percent. Usually it's for ** off of 50 or 100 dollar purchase.

Well that is something anyway. Home Depots I'm referring to are in Bangor, Waterville, and Augusta.

Finally a reason to make my first post.

I use the veteran discount extensively here in Colorado at both Lowes and HD. HD seems to have some leeway with how they handle the veteran's discount. The HD closest to my house made me "sign up" and get into their computer system by taking down my name and address info and the creds from my ID card. Now when I checkout I have to enter a phone number like a contractor then they still have to check my ID. I'm a disabled veteran, but through some sort of magic I still have my military ID from when I was in service... it is long expired but they don't look that close. I've never had anyone ask me if I was active duty, retired, or honorably discharged. The other HD's I go to I just ask for the discount, flash my ID card and they give me the discount.

I have used the 10% lowes mover coupon at both HD and menards and they have both accepted it no problems. It doesn't seem like much but it helps when you are spending lots of $$$. I have never tried a HF coupon at other stores though. Will have to in the future.

I know this is a somewhat old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having this problem:
someone has figured out how Lowe's generates the one use only coupon codes and has been using them. every time i've gotten a legitimate coupon for Lowe's in the last 8 months, they always deny it at the store saying that the machine claims it's already been used. occasionally i get lucky and the cashier overrides, but most of the time, they confiscate the coupon and deny.

I'm moving, so I got the packet at the post office and filled out the online form. I got the email today from Lowe's with the code and tried it, it said "The promotional code has already been redeemed on Lowes.com." That's BS, because they sent me the email like two hours before I tried to use it.

I sent them an email, but I haven't got a response.

Yes this happened to me as well. That Garden club thing where you got 10 off 10... both were already used when I tried to use them.
