Was at my local Lowes store thursday buying some electrical outlets and stopped to look at the Electrical tools section. All but one of the Knipex hand tools, pliers, cutters were "yellow tagged" on sale. Several items were already sold out, but still a decent supply available. No precise discount, but roughly 25% off list price on most everything. $39.95 regular price was $29.97, $29.95 was $21.49 etc.

Never really looked at Knipex before, but due to all the love fest posts about them, figured I would try several sets and see what its all about.

Asked the pimple faced Lowes guy why they were on sale - were they discontinuing the line, etc? He didnt know why they were on sale and didnt really know what knipex were used for. He picked up a pair of cobra "water pump pliers" and said they could be used for working on a car...

As they say: YMMV

Been marked down for months. $5-6 off is not going to make anyone run out and buy them. What did you see that was 25% off?

Lowes sale prices on Knipex are Tooltopias normal prices. Not that great of a deal.

Lowes prices typically have "CLEARANCE" on them if they're going non-stock, all the Knipex at my store is "NEW LOWER PRICE" which means it's just a lowered price.

And the prices are not that fantastic, even combined with the 10% off. :)
