I ordered some 1/2" nuts for a generator wheel project, listing said 50 count but I thought that was a mistake because they were $0.26 each. Did curb side delivery tonight and I actually received (2) 50 count boxes on 1/2" nuts. Double checked my receipt and I did just make a nice score.

Ordered. Went to pickup and they were single nuts not bulk packs. Wouldn't honor the online price.

Seems to be about a little more than just honoring the online price. They sold you a multipack, then gave you a single. In both listings, the title and specs state 50 or 100 count, and that’s what you bought. If they want to claim it’s a pricing mistake (of course it is), then they’re within their rights to cancel your order and refund your money. selling you 100, then giving you 1 is illegal. I mean, under the circumstances it’s not worth causing a ruckus over, but still illegal.
Ad yes, I know taking advantage of this listing error is morally questionable to begin with, but it’s nit illegal.

Taking advantage of an error is one thing. Returning them falsely is another

So I was originally given 25 nuts of each that I ordered. I told them that this was incorrect and showed them the website, after about 20 minutes of talking with the cashier manager and hardware associate it looked like I was not getting anything and was going to return them. The cashier chose to page the store manager who showed up and after showing him the website and how "hillman" identifies their quantities on the website he agreed that what I was telling him was correct even though he knew it was wrong. He agreed to honor my 25 boxes of each for the low cost. I knew they did not have that many boxes of these nuts in stock so I told him to get the website fixed and give me the 25 that they pulled for the cost of one and I would be happy since I also knew it was a description error.
