Lowes has the Porter Cable 18 v Li-Ion Drill & Driver combo kit on sale (from $199) for $169.

Since my Nic-Cad has long since died I've been holding for a replacement. A missed the Ridgid reconditioned set that was similar (2 tools, 2 batteries & charger for similar price.) I just like Ridgid tools and their warranty sounds Great.

Does anyone own a PC Li-Ion set and what is their opinion? I'm must a DIY'r.

A lot of guys like the PC tools, I am not one of them. I had that very set and hated the drill more than any other tool I've ever used. The chuck would spit out drill bits every time I let off the trigger. But like I said, a lot of people do like them.
