Saw the 11 piece SAE or metric combination wrench sets marked down from $39.99 to $25 and the stubbies marked down to $9.98. Those things are pretty.

I don't need any more wrenches except maybe the metric stubbies. Don't know why I didn't pick up a set. :dunno:

Got an 11 piece Metrichanical set last fall for $18. :)

Wish I had picked up a SAE sset but I ended up getting a US Craftsman RP for $20 later on. Got full set of MM and SAE wrenches now in the truck!

They definitely are nice wrenches  I dont know why the hell anyone would pay $90 for a Chicom craftsman set of "full polish" wrenches when you can get the Taiwan Kobalt set for $25 or less on sale!

No 10mm stubby offered... They have add on 18 and 19 mm stubbies though.

Your link is an ignition wrench, not a match to the stubby set.

That is weird, isn't 10mm a fairly common size? That would be a make or break thing for me buying this set.

The lack of a 10mm stubby in that set is what keeps me from buying it.

And off-topic here but while I was at the Lowes Website I noticed they've jacked up the price on their Chinese pliers. This set had a normal price of $24.98 but was on sale for $14.98 since black friday. Now its up to $30! I can buy a USA Craftsman set for that price! :willy_nil

DAMMIT!

Ive seen non chrome 10mm ones on ebay for like $3.

guess il just have to get one and hold it for a 10mm to be made or find one similar sized, unless they have them in store.

Retail prices on Kobalt have always been too high in my opinion.

Just an FYI, that is not a Taiwan polished wrench but one of the previous generation Made in USA wrenches. So it's better but won't match the set, if that's an issue. :)

The 10mm missing stubby in the new sets is rather crazy IMO.

Oh I know they aren't the same, just put it up there in case someone bought these and wanted to make it a complete functioning set.

Before I started buying metric stuff, all I had was SAE tools and a 10mm socket & wrench. It seemed like the one metric fastener that they started throwing into US vehicles before swapping it all to Metric.

I agree, it's crazy not to have it in that set.

I bought one of the 10mm from Cripe to fill out the set. I didn't really care that the finish didn't match.
It is crazy that the 10mm is not included as I use one all the time it seems.

I am going to try to piece a set together from Cripe's USA Kobalt inventory. It's about time I get a stubby set.
