Hopefully its OK to ask this question here. I bought a Bosch router at Lowes in the beginning of September. They marked the router down $30 in October. Does Lowes offer a price protection plan? Otherwise I suppose I could buy another router and return it with the old receipt but that has an underhanded feel to it. Any input would e appreciated

Yes, 30 day price protection I believe. But what do you have to lose? Take the receipt back to cust service, and ask.

90 return policy. return/rebuy?

Customer satisfaction is our goal. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, simply return the merchandise to any Lowe's store in the U.S. within 90* days. We, in our discretion, will repair it, replace it, or, based on your method of payment with a valid receipt, refund your money.

Only problem is I used the router quite a bit. It works great. I do lots of business at this store. I think I will contact customer service online and try to get a refund of the price difference.

You don't return the router you already bought. Go in and ask them for a price adjustment. If they won't do it you buy the same router, and then you can immediately return it using the receipt from the prior purchase.

It's not sneaky. They know you're going to do it and they won't have any issue with it.

so why didn't you get an adjustment in Oct.? It is Now Nov. and you want an adj. why did you wait so long. If you don't get it, I feel it is on you for waiting so long.
Don't mean to kick you in the balls, Just don't understand, why people wait for a month after they should do some thing and then want every one to bend or break their company's rules just to help you out of a jam you put your self into.

Fair, but I'm in Lowes about once every month... I don't always see right away when something is marked down to do a price adjustment. The same is probably true for others.

While it is your right to receive a price adjustment in the first 30 days, it is also your right to return something and rebuy for 90.

Just go in there and ask for the price adjustment. If they say no then mention that you can still return the item and rebuy it at the lower price. Mention that you would prefer to skip those steps.

This. It's not your fault they have a 90 day return policy.

You're absolutely right. I kind of just blew it off. Then my Scottish heritage kicked in  I'm not asking to bend rules just Getting input if I'd be off base trying to get price adjustment

A couple of months ago I purchased 8 boxes of replacement led lights at Costco. 3 weeks later I see that they are now on sale - $4 off per box. I don't usually return things, but I was going there any ways and $30 is $30. So I go up to the return counter with my receipt and ask for a credit, but they won't do it - they have a 2 week limit on price adjustments!

It pissed me off, I never heard of such a thing. So I just went into the store and bought 8 new lights under the sale price, exited the store in one line, turned around and went right back in through the other line and got my $32. (I let them know what I was doing and also what I thought of their policy)

They know that router isn't a light purchase they will probably take care of you if you find a blue vest.

I can tell you for sure they will not judge you (nor should you judge you) if you buy another and return the new one. They probably wouldn't care if you return the one you used, bought a new one for the lower price in the same trip. That I would not do, but as a retail store I guarantee someone did it and they just watched. Or they're so beaten down they didn't even look up to notice it.

Don't sweat the small ****. $30 doesn't matter to Lowe's like it does to you.
