I found this Skill iLevel crossline laser level for $9.75 down from $39 on clearance at Lowes. Your mileage may vary, but it's a pretty good deal if you need one. We're about to hang a lot of photos, so I figured it might be nice to have.
Once I unboxed it, I felt like I got a fair deal for $10, but I wouldn't have been happy if I spent $40. It basically has a laser system hanging in the middle of a plastic cube. Open the window on the side and it turns on and projects the laser crosshairs. It hangs from a single point, so gravity keeps it level. When the window is slid closed, it seems to lock the laser in place so it doesn't knock around loose inside the cube. I'd be happier if the laser line was narrower and brighter, but for $10, I'm satisfied.
You can tell Lowes is gearing up for Black Friday. They're unloading tons of stuff, but I didn't see any major deals in the tools yet - just the usual box sets of sockets they've been pushing all fall.
