I love mine. I actually like how the sockets face open side up vs. how on the Hansen trays they face down.

Metric set is #393409
SAE set is #393408

I snagged the metrics for $3.50 a few days ago but the SAE sets are not on sale nor in stock for me. At this price I bought an extra set just for a 1/2" tray because it was cheaper than just buying a single 1/2" tray alone.

While on the topic I have the lowes 4 row holder. I have one in my truck box and one in my main box. I really like them as well. The HF pegs fit as well.

Gotta love the Lowe's pricing on stuff they're moving out. These were marked down to $1.99 at my store a few weeks ago. Now they're at $3.50. Maybe it's just me, but I always thought that the longer something was on clearance, the lower the price went.

My store is still at the outrageous full $4.99 price. Oh, the humanity!

I bought two sets of each at Christmas and I'm thinking about more for future expansion.

Then I'll need the 44" HF bottom box, and...

I haven't seen those 4 row holders in stores. What item # is that if you have it available? Do you like these better than the hansen style trays?

Item number for the Lowes 4-rail trays is #338551. They run $24.97 at my store. I have two of them and the quality is good. They come with (30) 1/4" clips, (40) 3/8", and (16) 1/2". The clips are removeable, so you could rearrange the rails however you please.

I went and grabbed the rails yesterday, big improvement over my HF racks. I never even realized that with the tray like design of the HF racks there was all kinds of **** being collected in them.

Funny thing, they asked if i wanted to open a lowes charge for this purchase, told them i used to have one. Since i re-opened the account they gave me a 10% discount and 12 months same as cash on this purchase. 12 months to pay off less than $7.

I haven't seen the rails in person, so to someone who has: could you buy more than one and mix/match the socket clips?

In other words, it looks like there is only one row of 1/2" socket clips per 'board'. I don't want mixed drive sizes on a board, so if I bought 4 sets could I shuffle the clips around and make a board that has four rows of 1/2" sockets, for example:

• 1/2" deep 6 point
• 1/2" deep 12 point
• 1/2" shallow 6 point
• 1/2" shallow 12 point

...all on a single 'board'?

No, you can not.

I respectfully disagree. I've done it. There's a little tab at the end of the rail that you push down on, and you can remove as many clips from that rail as you'd like, and move them to another rail. All clips/rails are the same size so you can rearrange them however you'd like.

I need the Hansen style as well just for functionality sake. The 4 row tray is great for specialty stuff that doesn't have a home. The model is 85923.
