yeah thats the regular price but a great deal none the less. I picked up my SAE set for $1.50 plus tax.

I see lowes online website has knipex pliers for $10 plus shipping...

A Lowe's employee stated in another thread that these are a non-stock item now. My local stores are not getting anymore in. I purchased the last of both mm and sae sets from two stores a few weeks ago, and neither have restocked.

Really? I haven't sen a replacement yet. Did he say what that's going to be? My store still hasn't managed to get rid of the individual trays they had before these sets came in.

Glad I have three sets of SAE and 3 of Metric.

I think that may be attached to your zip code. I did a search for "Knipex" and it doesn't show me any sweet ten dollar specials.

Most of the stores around me have had two different piles (of what looks like the same products; definitely not the new/old styles), one for $5 and one for $20 (or $25, I forget).

The other ones aren't the old #338540 and 338541? Mine had a few of those left over for a long time, but they're gone now.

I was setting up a new tool cabinet, and found these trays at Lowes earlier this year right when they first dropped the price.

These were the type I was after, and I've found they worked out fine for what I needed this time. Really can't beat the price on the trays, but filling in the blank space from missing sockets sure escalates the costs! I had full sets in other boxes, but wanted to get another roller combo for convenience. Here's a pic of how they fill a 26" wide 4" deep drawer:

Went ahead and got some, they'll beat the C-man metal rails I use. Local store had 3-4 of each. I bought 2 of each and I think they had just the 1/2" trays for $8 on "clearance". IF they are phasing them out I probably should have bought every 3 piece they had and wait a few months to move them on ebay for 3x that amount.

Now I have a lot of rearranging to do to switch to my deep drawers for sockets.

Good morning sir. This is the Socket Deficiency Alert System calling to inform you that you are missing a 3/8 half inch drive socket and a 5/8 quarter inch drive. We are going to have to ask you to please either find your sockets or go purchase replacements immediately. Thank you.

I bought 4 set of each last time and I think I might need to buy 2 more just in case.

Fyi, these raise the sockets about 3/8" off the bottom of the drawer. The second drawer up in my 5-drawer us general cart wouldn't close with my 3/8" deep sockets. I had to drill out the rivets and lower the drawer guides.

The HF organizers on the other hand only raise the sockets about 1/8".

I have one set of these that are not close to being filled up. I plan on getting another set to hold impacts but just wonder if it'd be a waste of space considering all the sizes will never be filled with impacts. I guess for $5 it doesn't really matter.

i only have a problem when I get into the deep 1/2 drive and even then its only the bigger sizes. if I pull the foam liner out i wont have a problem.

Filled mine up today both at home and work, really like them and plan to get more. I have almost a full set of low 6 and 12 pt sockets so need 2 of each for low and deep sockets. Really saves space over the C-man style rails with the handles.

I'll sell my old rails and all the super duplicate sockets to easily pay for these at $5 a pop.

Had this slightly wrong from memory. The 3-pack is $4.98 and further down the aisle they have individuals (same ones from the 3-pack) for sale for 2x each!
