I know it isn't really tool or garage related, but I picked up 12 nice little shrubs - normal price 6.98, paid 1.75 each.
Everything was 75% off including the cacti...

I know that Lowes offers a warranty for their plants but I would be cautious purchasing during seasonal transitions. You may be purchasing summer plants that don’t do well in winter.

Think if I bought some I could keep them alive in my unfinished basement under a window all winter? Lol

Most of what I picked up were evergreens so they can be planted and will survive the winter no problem. I don't quite understand the wtf? The title says it all, if you are not interested MOVE ON.

If you read the sticky for "Hot Deals" its says it must be garage or tool related, so the WTF is justified and this thread should be removed

Maybe next time just take a minute to read the rules for posting

I don't see the problem either, a lot of people dress up their garage or house with plants or shrubs etc. The only problem some people might be thinking is: that it's in the deals thread instead of free parking maybe & they probably think the deals is for tools only.

This....

Thanks for bringing up the sale OP!!

I agree, I put my plants in the ground using a tool (shovel). Plus, a lot of guys go to Lowes to buy tools, and while I'm there buying tools, it's good to know about other deals that can save me some $$$.

So, OP, thanks for the heads-up! :rocker:

Thanks OP!... Lowes had a similar deal at the end of the spring planting season and I picked up some great trees for dirt cheap.

I think this is very on-topic, there was even a Hot Deals post about a rackmount server... I don't see any reason to nazi restrict the Hot Deals posts here.

FWIW my local HD also is doing this, but at 50% off-YMMV. I picked up a nice pin oak (for the decoration around my GARAGE :)) to replace a dead and now gone maple.

and you can put lightbulbs in your garage too

but you don't post the sale on lightbulbs

there's a site for that, slick deals

I think you're the one mis-posting... this clearly belongs in the general tool discussion, as you're clearly a tool.

Thanks for the heads up!
Don't pay attention to the trolls.

no trolling

it's just not tool related and to say so it's the biggest stretch

Hey I'm all for a deal, but it is a tool deal forum, and if someone wants to post against the grain as it were, sure..... but hell if it's not tool related.... it should be a post that is "deal worthy"

So wait.... lowes are clearing out dieing and picked over plants after the season? at 75% off? shut the front door!

Who would have thought they would have seasonal clearances???

So call me psychic, but I'm thinking on Nov 1 we can get 75% off Hallowe'en costumes.... and wait... Dec 26 .... maybe even a whopping 90% off Christmas wrapping paper - it is tool related you know... cause you can wrap tools in it

So no, not trolling, but this is a "blah" seasonal deal.... is it a deal? maybe, but slickdeals.net is the right place for it

(there are a million deals like this....where do you draw the line?)

The title is quite clear, if your not interested don't click on it!!!!
I'm not seeing the big deal here, I have quite a few trees in my yard that I purchased from HD with the same deal and the ones that didn't make it I just pulled out and returned them for a full refund.

You read the title and still opened it just to post you whinny comments, thats considered TROLLING my friend.
