I happen to be browsing the online add for Home Depot when I stumbled on some bits Labeled LOX with a squarish configuration. I tried searching this forum for it but came up empty handed.

Anyone has some details or can elaborate on this new style of fastener configuration?

Sheesh, yet another bit design... I've never had a problem with cam-out installing square drive/ Robertson screws, just with removing painted ones. I don't do it every day, though.

At least it looks like it'll be easy to pound a square-type extractor into the bit recess.

I dont. Why would it? Robertson is good enough. Why do we need 4 of them offset?

Plus we got other stuff that works. Why reinvent the wheel
Imo manufacturing those will be harder? Maybe? Both driver and screw? and all the others that are well established

Those were basically my thoughts as well. I don’t see the need. I’m really happy with Torx for most stuff.....

This is f'ing rediculous. Let me know if these show up on cars, small engines, etc. Otherwise I'm tired of buying driver tools.

My introduction to LOX was with a Hitachi screw gun, free with the purchase of a dozen boxes of collated screws.

As I was sheetrocking a garage at the time, a free screw gun was a good deal. In fact, I bought enough boxes of screws to get a screw gun for my father-in-law, too.

I still have a pile of boxes of collated screws.
