LP Flameblock OSB for garage walls and ceiling

Has anyone used LP Flameblock OSB for their garage walls and/or ceiling? Considering it is only about $10 a sheet more than regular OSB at the moment it seems like a decent option considering the added fire protection and I'll only need about 45 sheets.

I'm having difficulty finding a closeup picture of it online and had a couple of questions if you have used it or seen it.

- Is the surface of it smooth or can you still see the OSB strands? From the pictures I am able to see it looks like the fire resistant coating creates a smoother surface than normal OSB. This would be nice on walls and ceiling.

- How does it take paint? I'd assume with the coating it may be a little easier to paint than normal OSB and not soak up as much paint. Also the fact that it is already white would seem to help.

- I'm curious if the Pyrotite coating they use would make the OSB more water resistant in case I was power washing out the garage.

After some searching I did find a better closeup of it. Cant decide if I'd like that texture on the wall or not. I guess it would end up looking more like stucco than wood.

Probably more work than you want to deal with, but could you do a light skim coat over the boards to smooth it out and then paint? Not sure if there are issues doing this over the treated surface, so you'd have to check.

I should also add that the bare white surface looks like it'll show every little speck of dirt and be a pain to clean. Would also possibly risk removing some of the coating if you keep that as the 'A surface' and then clean it. Or so I'd imagine over time.

I reached out to LP about it. They said painting it is fine. They also said not to use it on the ceiling as it is not rated for horizontal installation.
