I have a very old can of LPS-2 lubricant, must be from the 60s? The steel can touts being good for missiles! Anyway, it still sprayed and the product was still good, but I ran out. So I bought a new can and have been using it on a few things that need superior lubrication: snowblower parts and a few car door hinges. I really like how it flows and it doesn't run much.

For anyone else who has used this product, what are some "do and don't" use cases? I currently use 3-in-1 oil for my had tools and bits (we get lots of condensation from moist air and temp swings), so would this be a better choice?

LPS 1, 2 & 3 is good stuff and have been used in aerospace/aviation/military for years. The higher the number the thicker the viscosity.

LPS 1 = Water displacer/"dry" lube
LPS 2 = Penetrant/multi-use lubricant
LPS 3 = Long term rust preventer/waxy film

I use LPS 1 a lot. Great on electric contacts and it's what I use to lube locks and trigger groups. For rust preventative I'd use LPS 2 or LPS 3. But I use Ballistol on my tools because I have it around, it works fine.
