Got an email from Jersey Discount Tool Co. the other day and it contained a better mousetrap: an air hammer than can also be configured to pull and hammer. (Their price, $299.)

I'm not finding any threads about it. To me, seems a lot less clumsy than the Texas Twister attachment which was on my "kewl tools for someday" list, a shepherds crook that you hook up to your normal air hammer to the attachments at the other end are pulling instead of pushing/hammering.

Here it is at the Milton website:

Which I found confusing, because the tool is made by LTI Tools, who also make the Texas Twister and many other innovative doodads.

But when I look at both websites, Milton and LTI have the same mailing address,
4500 W Cortland St,
Chicago, IL 60639, USA

So hooray for Milton! I've always like Milton and I hope this is now a division of their empire.

Anyway, news to me -- anybody tried one?

I was an early adopter of the texas twister buying it almost the moment it was available. It was worthless, just acted like a big torque stick. Waste of money, but I don't have the heart to sell it to someone who would have their dreams crushed like mine.

Besides, you can buy this beast from Astro. This thing rocks!!! I use it at work at least three times a week. IMG_2587.jpeg

How's that compare to a normal 5lb hammer? I would imagine it's more about producing vibration to coax something out, than ripping it out with bigger hits?
