Lube?

My new FHL80 feels alittle stiff, and is louder than my other dual 80's, reckon it slipped by the lube section?

I use gear oil. No grease in my rats...

Went out and looked, I could see a little bit of lube seeping out, its not dry like I thought it might had been.

Just use it. I kid you not, the D80's get smoother with use. My five year old FLF80 is the smoothest ratchet I own.

Take it apart and smother the gear with SuperLube #21030.

PAW and Lowe's till one went under and the other changed brands. HF and buy online is the next best thing. HF only carries the small tubes.....

I have good luck with RLL (permatex engine assembly lube) Seems to work very well and give everything a nice coating and makes the ratchet insainly smooth. Havent tried the super lube tho I bought a tube of that stuff from my local bike shop once tho. ill give it a go next rebuild.

But RLL makes the ratchets dead silent like they have been broken in already till it seeps back out lol.
