Lubricate ball bearing glides

So I have the superlube silicone grease now.

I hope one can understand my drawing of a generic ball bearing glide, it's a rail within a sheath, which is within a casing that is in the drawer.

I am thinking #1 grease because that's what the balls travel on (both top and bottom). #2 on the inside of the rail does not need grease?
What about #3?

also instead of smearing all over with fingers and making a mess, does anyone recommend using a sringe or small stick to apply the grease? I do not want to take out the drawers because that is too much work and I don't have any help to put it back nicely.

Nice job on the drawing.

You're right, all you need to grease are the channels you have marked 1 and 3. The balls ride in those channels and will "pick up" the grease as they roll over it.

For applying, do you know what an "acid brush" is? If not, I can dig up a picture for you.
