Lubricating air tools

I have a new air ratchet and a new air impact gun. What's the best way to lubricate them? A few drops in the air inlet now and then?

What if I have a whip hose with one of those swivel fittings? Do I put a few drops in the inlet of the whip hose? I don't want to unscrew the whip hose everytime I use the wrench.

That's all I've ever done. And I use my die grinder A LOT.

The oil will travel down the whip hose just fine.

Also all I've ever done. 1 drop every time I use it.

Yep, three or four drops in the air inlet each use.

Ditto on all the above. BTW I do not have an oilier on my compressed air system as that would contaminate the inside of all the air lines & hoses making them unusable for painting.
