Lucky save today and another example of my luck -
Couldn’t get this rototiller running, so I dropped the bowl on the carburetor to clean it up. IMG_0172.jpeg

I lost the needle valve in the grass…
Uh oh…
Got a magnet from an old speaker and started feeling around under it.
Pure Luck !!IMG_4364.jpeg

I discovered this accidentally one day, but now it's a routine for me.

Any time I'm doing work like this, I sit down and attract the cat with a treat, and he will sit and watch me. He's always fascinated by whatever I'm doing, and his eyes miss absolutely nothing. If anything pops loose, it's going to be investigated, but since it's inanimate, it's just sniffed at and left alone - but at that point he's done his job of pointing out to me where it is!

I would rather be known as "Lucky" than "Good".

It probably would never have occurred to me that the needle might be magnetic.

I have one of the magnets that look like a screwdriver with a knot on the end that extends, needed it the
other day, coud not find it. Went to HF and picked up a couple of them, Went to my truck opened the
console to put them in, now I have three.

One in the top of each toolbox, one at each workbench or any place that could be a workbench. Along with a pocket screwdriver, measuring tape, brass/bronze hammer, and Knipex Alligators (not a Cobra or Plierswrench guy)

I've lately been adding a needle nose pliers and wire cutters. Will the escalation never end?
