I have routinely encountered Snappy speeders, and others of varying pedigrees through the years; it always seems that the old time wrench benders had a greater appreciation and more broad application of uses for speeders than many including myself do today! Great find though; I have bought several that way , but in recent times find myself passing on them more and more! BUT NOT FOR WHAT YOU PAID FOR YOURS, IT WOULD HAVE GONE HOME WITH ME!

that might have something to do with the air ratchet

if he had said $5.00 i might have passed but for $1.50 it can lay right next to my old mossberg/apco.

I've got one of these, it's an F4LBK. It has that ********* knob on the end for applying brute pressure. I can drive 3.5 inch drywall screws through wood 4x4's with it. :)

Never had a good use for one ... but it may be because I don't use my "mechanic-in' " tools to do wood working. :bounce:

I still use them. I forget which snappy one I have, but sometimes you need to "feel" things.

the only thing i have ever use one for is to prime an oil pump........you can feel when the oil gets to the pump, you cant with a power tool.

Nice buy. They are the best thing in my box when it comes to tearing down an engine. Nothing better!

Ditto!!! It's just a habit, but "way back when" in tech school we were never allowed to use power tools on engine disassembly and assembly -- speed handles were the norm.

Sounds like when I bought my used truck 2 years ago. In addition to all the old used .22 shells, I found a pretty good condition snap on 17mm combination wrench. :)

I dug mine out of the seldom used drawer to run the 24 head bolts down on a tractor last week before I torqued them.
