Hello!
I have been floating around this website for a few years. I have just lurked, checking out the occasional garage build thread. Let me say that a few of you have given me some really good ideas for shop organization as well as some awesome tool **** over in the vintage tool section.

FP: about time you signed up so you can see the pictures easier and now post questions and share your wisdom.

i like old tools in case you haven't seen me post a couple and would like to see some of your tool **** if you can post up a few pictures.

I've never been to Alberta, but almost drove there for a Canadian tour golf event i wanted to play in 10 years ago and i hear the summers are awesome up there.

welcome and ask questions if you need help posting pictures since it sounds like you already know how to browse the threads.

No pics of a workspace unfortunately, I have yet to get a place of my own to work in. Right now my projects sit in the driveway at my parents farm. Hopefully now that I'm out of university and have some teaching experience under my belt my wife and I can start to look for a place settle down in.

Here is a pic of what I use my tools on though.

Thanks for all the kind replies so far!

And yes drivesitfar, the summers are awesome here! At the height of summer the sun doesn't set until after 11:00. Makes it really nice to work when you don't have access to things like a concrete floor or artificial light.

FP: so don't be shy i know some members that have their tools in apartment closets and small enclosed trailers. that truck you have is awesome and probably a keeper for life. i wish i had a few of my old cars like my 1970 Mustang Mach 1 with a 428 that i sold for peanuts in 1978.

your scenery looks awesome so if you want to post more pictures of your parent's farm or your favorite spots in Alberta please do. i think you have two of my long drive golf buddies that might have 7 championships between them up in your area. not sure what's in the water up there but Jamie hits a golf ball 450 yards and i think he's only 5'11" and 160 pounds.

anyway do you have any pictures like this or can you see the northern lights form home? i can't remember where i got this picture of an Eagle with a couple crows bothering him, but i think its' pretty cool.

cheers

Thanks drivesitfar, I will definitely post some pics of my setup, once I get everything figured out. Luckily I have summer break coming up soon to get that done.

As for the truck that was my Grandfathers grain truck from 1965 until about the mid seventies when my Dad upgraded to a three ton. I used to play in it when it sat behind the chicken coop at Grandma's. Definitely a keeper for life. It only took me 15 years to get it back from my cousin.

As for pics of the farm...
