LVL help with span for offshoot patio

Building a 16x22 patio off the back of garage. Wanting for an open span 22'. The 16 poses no real issues. The 22' will hold a king post for "timber frame" looks. I used a table I found online that I inputted a lot of information and them calculated that I needed 5.5"x16" across. Is this overkill? Any insight?

22' Span.
4/12 Pitch Roof.
Snow load for Pittsburgh Pa.
Only roof load, no 2nd level.

Will be similar to photo below, except 22' span in front and will be LVLs wrapped to simulate real timbers.

I think you are in the ballpark. there maybe addtional loads from uplift that may control, or from the frame action you have going with the kickers.

When I doubt, make it stout. Or pay an engineer to design it.

I would say that sounds right. You have a lot of forces going into those end beams. Compression force of the center pillar and tension of the roof triangle pushing the sides out. For the price, you might save money by actually making it out of real timbers! It would be a bear to work with but no "fake" facing of things.
You could also add a third LVL across the center to help spread the load. That would reduce the size of the end LVLs. Or even a 4th one.
