So I've been wanting a butcher block work bench or a stainless steel covered one. A Lyon Butcher block work bench, 8 feet by 3 feet, popped up on craigslist. New in the box. I can't find any info on a price online. Guy is firm on $275. Claims it is $800 retail.
Here's some pics, what do y'all think?

Said it's identical to this but just with a butcher block top.

How thick is it? >2" and I'd say it is a good deal. I paid $100 for a similar size bowling alley lane, but then had several hours in cutting it and another $100+ getting it sanded by a mill with a big drum sander.

I'd say that $275 is a good price for the top alone, especially if it is new and never used. But add in the bench for that price, and I would call that really good deal.
