I’ll also say that it’s great to set and walk away find something else to do. No need with the pressure setting just set it and do something else for a few minutes. Mine always seems to do the job in just a minute or two.

I have one and really like it. I let a buddy borrow it and he liked it so much he bought one for himself and 2 more for some friends of ours. I would say it's only really good to about 60psi. Super handy around the house and topping off tires.

The bad:
-My first one burned out trying to top off a truck tire to within its psi rating. Milwaukee quickly replaced it via their online warranty program. Painless.
- The digital guage is useless below about 20psi
- It eats batteries pretty quickly

I only curse at it for being slow when getting in the car and the TPMS yelling at me something is low or forgetting it yelled at me when I got home the last time and I forgot to fill it up before using the car again, then having to wait for it to leave.

I have found the gauge on it to be low most the time 1-2psi, except the few weeks when it was 5-6psi low because it must of been mad at me, but it got over it.

Some cars with TPMS need to be driven and meet certain conditions for a certain amount of time before they reset. Others will reset as soon as it reads a PSI level within the +/- PSI range it's looking for.

As for the gauge, now I'm curious to see if Milwaukee specified a +/- % accuracy range.

Also, if you're referring to the PSI reading on the tire, it will vary from tire to tire and it will vary based on temperature. Air expands when warm and contracts with cold. So if you air up a tire when cold for example, the PSI will increase as your drive the car and the tire heats up. That's also why cold weather will often trigger your TPMS.

I bought an extra to keep in the car.

Does anyone know if there is a 12V accessory adapter for the M12 battery? If i keep an inflator in the car, it would be frustrating if the battery were dead when I needed it.

I got the Ridgid one for my wife's truck for that reason. It has a 12v adapter so if the battery is dead she can still use it.

I haven't seen one, though you could probably make one from an old battery if you were inclined to do so.

I thought about the same thing, but I just swap out the battery in mine once a week or so, even if I haven't used it.

I would buy one if it had a tio that would work with bicycle valves. For some reason all the bike pumps can have tips that work with either type of valve but everyone else pretends bike valves don't exist even though this thing would be perfect for bringing to the trail for bike tires.

Not to brag or anything but I had one of these under my tree Christmas morning thanks to my Garage Journal Secret Santa.

You talking presta valves? If so, it actually comes with a little black plastic thread on adapter. One of my buddies uses his for that purpose.

those who have these things, help me understand the benefit vs something that runs off of your vehicles battery?

I use it when picking up flip cars that may have been sitting for a while. Who knows the state of the battery on those cars and sometimes I can’t get my truck nearby and end up having to winch them onto my trailer (I have 100’ of cable on my trailer mounted winch.

The M12 6.0 ah battery works great with this inflator. Lots of run time. I take 2 of them with me and start inflating when I first arrive.

Love this inflator.

I hadn't thought about all these other uses, I was thinking of these as kind of an emergency use only type thing where I'm on the side of the road with a flat. I might pick one up when my Viair decides to give up the ghost.

The inflator is probably my favorite Milwaukee tool. If they had an M18 version, I buy that one, too, but the M12 has done everything I've needed it to do.

If you have multiple cars, trailers, ATV's etc., this is a must have tool.

I also like the ease of use functionality for my wife. Yes she could easily handle a plug in 12v one, but this is easy, simple and self contained without excess cords to get tangled up

This is the main reason I bought mine. There is absolutely no chance that my wife is going to get out the compressor and hook everything up.

Does anyone know the minimum pressure? Would it work for ATV tires at 5PSI?

It works, but you can't set it and forget it like you can at say 35 PSI. I use it to air up my Garden Tractor tires, basketballs, etc. I just make sure to stop/start it often to let the gauge catch up. It work fine, just slightly less convenient because it won't shut off itself at such a low PSI.

This is how I use it as well.
