I just tried out my new Milwaukee M12 drill & impact driver. Wow! I thought my 9.6 NiCad drill was powerful but it is wimpy compared to the M12. So much more powerful than I expected that I think I'm going to take them back and get the M12 Fuels. The Fuel drill is 1/2" rather than 3/8. But the biggest reason is the two power settings of the Impact driver.

No doubt they are good stuff. Just start buying them all now. Next on my list is the lantern.

In my experience the 3/8" M12 Fuel impact (with XC Battery) has easily kept right up with any 18v and 20v Dewalt Impact driver it's been next to at the last job. Had a few coworkers asking me what the cost was since it was so much more compact.

The M12 and M18 line stole me away from being a lifelong Dewalt user.
