M14 x 1.25 thread restorer ?

Hi,

Came across a Merc ML today with damaged threads in the hub for the wheel bolts.

Managed to sort it using a work friends M14 x 1.25 thread restorer, the gold coloured ones made by Lang but sold by mac/Snap on etc....

I have the Lang kit but it only goes up to M12

Anyone know a source for the M14 ? Mac/SO/Lang/Ebay haven't given me any results.

You can try these also, http://www.murraycorp.com/split-die-tool.html I have a metric and standard set and a jawco set, both are great products. I don't have any thing to bad about either and are both US made.

Yep, M14X1.25 is a common spark plug thread. Lots of chasers, taps, inserts, etc. available.

I ended up buying a load of different size taps 14x1.50 and 1.25 and thread restorers too.

Got pretty much everything i need the only one i couldn't find was a 14x1.25 restorer (the gold things)

They are available in the states for $3 but finding them in the UK is a no no. Closest i got was a 14x1.50 which i have ordered.

Will have to make do with the 14x1.25 tap i bought.
