I have me one month old Milwaukee Fuel M18 1/4 impact that I was using and the 1/4 to 3/8 adapter sheared off right at the end and is twisted in the holder. How do I remove it? Do I have to disassemble it to get it removed?

I keep sheering off the 1/4"-3/8" adapter as well and have decided to just buy a 3/8" impact and be done. The adapters i've been breaking are the Milwaukee Shockwave adapters.

i dont use these much on really heavy duty stuff, but the shockwave has held up for me so far.. i also have the makita's, which have a wobble drive on them... so far they havent given me a problem..

im thinking if you cant just open the chuck and bang the piece out, you might have a really hard time if its wedged in there..

Well I used a standard drill and drilled a deep enough hole so I can wedge in a screw in it and wiggled the bit piece out.

Went to the local Ace Hardware and got some Dewalt impact adapters. Will see how these hold up. The one that broke was just a cheap one so I can see why it broke.
