My corded hilti sds max I bought used stopped hammering. I didnt pay too much for it so not too worried. May tear it down and see if piston froze up or something since I didnt use it too much. But want to get something else in the meantime. I have some glue down flooring in basement that needs to get tore out. I have the 6" scraper bit for sds max that makes quick work of that. Also have a couple concrete jobs I need to tear out smaller areas. I've switched to almost all cordless over the years and havent looked back. Already have the m18 9" cut off saw that works great cutting concrete if under 4". But the sds I'm not sure if cordless or corded is the best option. I have used the dewalt 1 3/4" cordless ads max and it did great. But there are times like tearing tile floors out where I need to run for a few hours. I have two 12ah and two 9ah batteries and if I do go m18 on the sds I will probably do the kit which comes with two 8ah batteries and a free tool for 300 more then the bare tool. Just wondering if anyone has experience with this sds and how it compares to corded sds? This would be used for chipping concrete and some drilling, I have a bits up to 1.5" i believe. No core drilling, have a core drill for that. So mostly just chipping. I've gone threw a few corded soda Max's over the last 10 or so years and thinking about trying the m18 to see how it does. Just hate to get it and it not be very powerful or only last 10 minutes on a battery and wish I would have gone corded. But if it's just as powerful as the corded version and gets decent run time on the bigger batteries I would be willing to give it a shot. Thanks.
