48-59-1813 MKE Appears to have the 3.0 XC battery along w/ the 12/18 Volt charger pack. $79 at your local Home Depot or on line. Just around the corner of the $99 3.0 XC battery only. or the $59 charger only... No 4.0s in my local store. On another note, got my new fuel 1/2 impact. Heavy beast compared to the old one. Haven't beat on anything with it yet though!

FYI, Home Depot apparently isn't keeping the inventory of these current on their website. I looked a couple of days ago to see if my local store had any, and none showed to be in stock at any store within 20 miles of me.

I go into the store and they still had about 5-6 on the shelf at $79. I ended up buying their last twin pack of non-XC batteries for $79 since I already have a charger.

do you know if these are compatible with the m18 fuel 2764 or 2763? or do I need the 4.0 battery to make them output all that torque? :)

wanting to buy the one without the battery pack if possible to save a few bucks

thanks in advance

The 3.0s run my 2763. I think the biggest noticeable advantage would be on the things that really eat power. IE like the metal saw or grinder when you are really working it. Which I guess you could do w/ the impact if you were hammering on big ag equipment or trucks etc. I'm trying to decide if I will like that as well as my 2663 for regular use. time will tell Obviously more torque on 2. The feel of the wrench is much heavier. MY HD doesn't have a 4.0 in stock. My guess is in a couple of months the 3.0s should come down in price. Edit: I was rethinking my above statement on it feeling much heavier. On my scale it comes in only about 3/4 of a pound heavier. Side by side they are even similar size. I'll quit whining now....
