Just left Home Depot in Maryville, TN with a new 30* framing nailer kit (gun, charger, one 5.0 batt, and nice carry bag) They marked the kits down from $449 to $199. I didn't really need it but could not resist. Yes it's heavy at almost 12 lbs fully loaded with nails, but not dragging the compressor and hose out is nice! It's definitely got the power to sink 16's into LVL no problem!

I need to move where you guys find all these deals. The clearance aisles at both home depots near me price things less than 3 percent off and some things higher than the normal price...

I don’t believe the kits were ever sold in store. This may have been an online purchase returned in store.

Not a normally stocked kit but was a holiday special, so the instore sku is unavailable online, and no BS search. Most stores had a stack of 8 to start with

Checked this morning. Have 8 at my store. I had them type in the SKU since it was in the overhead and it showed $399.00

I’d buy one for $200 as well but stores in my area never have the clearance deals I see people post here.

I picked up two today. Both unmarked on the Milwaukee display end cap. It's finally time to retire the old Paslode.
Is your old Paslode cordless? I have a fairly new Paslode cordless XP framing nailer (gas + lithium battery for spark). It's only 7.2lbs whereas the Milwaukee M18 is 11.3lbs (with 5ah battery). That's over 4lbs heavier. It seems like the Milwaukee would be a downgrade on that basis alone...am I missing something?

I've thought about checking my local store to see if they have this M18 framing nailer kit, but I am having a hard time thinking that I would enjoy using such a heavy nail gun.

It's a 17 year old Impulse. I have 3 pneumatic Paslodes for the big stuff. I'll be happy to not have to deal with the fuel cells any more and already have a half dozen other Milwaukee batteries to go with it.

Checked the local stores and by that I mean 45 and 82 miles away and both had it in stock but both are at full retail and offered no discount even after showing them this thread.

similar. got 2 at one store at $199, and then found a store a ways away, like a weekend trip kind of thing that hits 3 other depots along the way, that I made time for. I called the day of the drive, and was confused when they kept telling me $399 (even after making sure they weren't on the website). I called the store I purchased from, and knew she entered it correctly, but was back to $399

While some items are cyclical, and clearance out every fall to just come back in the spring, I have never encountered an item that was clearance, then make to regular in the same week. All indications are that this is not a regularly stocked store item, by the lack of sku information on HDs site, so only made sense it was being cleared out. Why not at still attractive $300 or similar, will always make us wonder
