I just read the other thread post you made about that.

Though I didn't comment there...

Which 1/2 model Fuel ARE YOU USING?

Like I said my high torque easily but in fact that was also the day late last summer it failed not a click from the switch and needed to be sent out for warranty repair :wtf:

My tool that could not even remove a non-rusted shock bolt
is the 2763-20 High Torque 1/2" 18V Fuel

Is this model not appropriate for that task ?

For comparison, my m18 fuel 1/4” impact DRIVER removes lug nuts.. m12 impacts remove lug nuts. I have the the gen1 m18 fuel 3/8 impact , the 1/2” mid torque, and gen 1 high torque also. If that thing doesn’t remove lugs on a car - something is WRONG

Same- I have the 2853 and just out of curiosity, tried it on every vehicle we have, all of which it zipped them off in little time. Clearly not the intended use, but an impressive performance.

UPDATE:

Life got busy and wasn’t able to mail the drill out to around May 20th. I called the customer service department and explained to them what I was concerned about on the impact and what was the best way to get it checked out. They told me to ship it directly to them would result in a lot faster turnaround. Was quoted 7-10 days on getting the tool back. Well just received it today 6/18. Just about a whole month gone. I understand things take work but dang lot different then what they way saying.

Anyways they put on the notes that the impact had a worn switch that was not working right. Switch was replaced free under warranty and according to them it is in spec now. I haven’t had a chance to really check it out yet, but just with a few things I tried it on it seemed a lot better than it left.

Just wanted to update this. Will be putting it to harder use soon.
