M18 Rapid Charger Making Noise with 9.0

While I am waiting on hold with Milwaukee customer service I figured I would post up here.
Does anyone have a rapid charger that makes a hissing sound while charging?
Just got my 9.0 and rapid charger in the mail and as soon as I plugged it in It was making a hissing sound, not super loud but noticeable.
None of my other Milwaukee chargers do this so I am just wondering if it is a characteristic of the rapid charger.
It doesn't bother me just want to make sure they are supposed to be like this.

I just got the Fuel circular saw/9.0 starter kit combo. I was charging up the 9.0 and noticed the charger was buzzing too. Did you ever get an answer from Milwaukee?

if you read the Milwaukee addiction thread there is a bunch of people reporting this also. look back a few pages to where the miter saw first came out.

Probably nothing more than some harmless coil whine. It's under a lot of load charging that big battery so naturally 60hz bouncing through the transformer windings will make some noise. The video card in my PC draws about 400w when under load and it make the same kind of noise.

I figured it was normal coil or transformer whine but it's quite loud and my other chargers are dead silent. Seems to only happen when running the 9.0 battery so it makes sense that the increased demands from that would produce the noise.

I noticed that the other day as well, you only really hear it with a 9.0 on there. It doesnt make any noise with a compact and barley any with a 4/5.0

I ignore it. Then I fire up the welders, the plasma, the RPC, the stereo and the heat exchanger on the wood stove. What noise?

Just fired up my new 9.0 battery & rapid charger. This thing has a high pitch squeal and hiss. It's very annoying!!!! They can't think people are going to be ok with this can they?

i just bought the circular saw and sawzall fuel 9.0 starter kits and didnt notice any odd noise while charging them.
