I have a 2135-20 H36B M18 Rocket LED light that apparently shredded the coiled wire that goes to the LEDS every time the light was extended. It arced and popped one of the Ferrite beads on the control board (pictures attached). I've had this thing right under 5 years but I just had a really bad breakup with my girlfriend of 8 years. I believe the receipt is with her so the warranty avenue is a no go. Does anyone have an old service parts list that has the part number for the control board or does anyone know if the internals for the 2136-20 can be swapped over? I contacted Milwaukee but they were no help.

A few years back I took a stab at repairing a circuit board for a television which was chock full of these surface mounted devices(SMD). Like yours there were obvious failures. Inexpensive SMD "rework" soldering set ups are available. One of these along with some low temp soldering paste and I had a successful repair. I was lucky in that the obvious failures were the issue and I didn't need to do any true diagnosis which would have been way above my pay grade.
