M18 Sawzall Motor Won’t Spin

I picked up my 13 year old Sawzall the other day found when I squeezed the trigger all I got was a click. Each time I squeeze the motor turns a couple of degrees but that’s it. I pulled it apart last night. The gear side moves freely. Nothing is gummed up and the brushes look fine. Anyone experienced this and have a potential fix? I’m going to try by-passing the switch to see if that gets it going.

I would bet it's the switch and sadly Milwaukee thinks their switch assembles are gold plated.
