Anyone have experience with the milwaukee m18 6 gallon shop vac? Home depot has it on sale for 199 and you get a free accessory with it. I was planning on getting the dust collector that auctions to the wall anyway for cutting holes in drywall. That is like 60 bucks on it's own so the vac would only be 140.

I have the small m18 toolbox looking shop vac for years now and it's great for quick small jobs and for detailing the vehicles. But a bigger more powerful version would be nice. I also have a few corded shop vacs for bigger jobs. Just curious about run time and suction?

Think I'm going to pick one up since it seems like a good deal and I was going to get the dust attachment anyway. But would feel more confident with some real world experience.

I have the original M18 lunchbox, and it has it's place. It's saved my **** cleaning up floods for example, but damn is that thing loud. I too am curious about this new shopvac style machine. But that suctioning wall cup REALLY has my attention. That looks like an amazing idea.

It's battery powered, i picked one up for a job and it's ok, just don't expect it to be like it's electric counterpart. Shop vacuums are one of the tools that won't be replaced by a battery one, but yet. If it's for your shop I'd go corded, punch list, quick cleanups they have there place. It's probably the best cordless out there and it's quite, it seems to run best with 8ah or 12sh batteries. Would i buy it again, yes.

Funny story, wifey who is 6 hours away at new house went to home depot today and was looking at shop vacs. I have the lunchbox m18 back here and she misses it. She saw the 6 gallon m18 reduced price to 199 and sent me a text asking if that was a good deal. I said yes but make sure you get the free attachment. She replied that she didnt see any free attachment. I sent her a picture I took the other day and told her to go look up in front at the specials and she found it. Told her i was planning on picking one up next time i got to the store and she laughed. She has good taste and think shes a keeper. She wasnt too happy when she got home and realized none of the batteries are up there. But I will take her some this weekend. Will post back what I think of it after using it for a while.

I bought the dual battery 9 gallon for $225 after a $75 discount off the normal price of $300. It is big — bigger than I really wanted. I’ll have to look at the 6 gallon base sometime. Apparently any head fits any base.
