I've noticed a new size and purchased a couple in 1/4,3/8,1/2 sizes. The bits are different diameter. The 1/2 Esgen looks like 1/2 cut like some Vim torx. The 1/4 drive KTtool out of Germany looks like a T47 torx the diameter is thicker with more rounded splines like a T47 torx. Mac sent me a 8mm by mistake and the 7mm is in the mail.
Can any one tell me where to purchase a bolt so I can check the fit on my sockets?

I got the Mac today along with a BGS socket they are both the same size. The Esgen socket also fits some JDM Multi Port wheels. The 1/4 drive socket is very close.

I have most of what I need but I have one 7mm triple square that I don't think is sized properly and I would like obtain a bolt to check the fit so I can exchange it for a socket that fits.

Esgen tools are very high quality, so i would say that would be the one to keep.

Other than those split rim bolts i doubt you'll ever find/see another M7 XZN bolt, unless you go buying DSG clutch pack units. VW don't even list an M7 tool in their tool programme or workshop manuals.

I had a 1/4 drive spline socket set. I checked the diameter and found Mac sent me another M8 XZN. BGS and KS Tool fir correct. The 3/8 drive didn't fit correctly. The Esgen is a high quality tool. I have an M9 headbolt socket from Esgen.

Some BMW use it for emergency brake adjustment. I got out a double box 8mmx10mm wrench the double hex has good fit. I checked a M9 XZN and it would drive it but doesn't fit properly. People used to use an M8 XZN and strip out the head of the bolt. They then blamed Lisle for a bad product.
