Mac 3/8 impact socket set?

I need a good set of 3/8 metric impact sockets, is this a good set? Looks awfully like an expensive grey pneumatic set???

Those are USA made MAC impact sockets, not Taiwan rebrands like BP or Silver Eagle if that's what you're asking. MAC/Proto impacts are very nice. For the most part though, an impact socket is an impact socket regardless of brand. Get sockets that have a brand stamping on the exterior of the socket that makes you feel best. If you could care less about what brand they are then GP/Sunex impacts will do fine.

Ok, I'm looking to get a thin wall set, I'm looking to purchase quality. I understand that most impact sockets are decent enough, but I'm looking for a set that is thin. What fits the bill?

If and I say if they are USA made, then you cannot buy a better impact socket. I have using my set of MAC 3/8" semi-deep Metric sockets for 22 years without a hiccup one.

I don't use thin wall impacts myself. If they're for wheels there is a set floating around under numerous brands, including available at HF. Im sure they're pretty much all originating from the same factory in Asia. They have insulators on the outside so they don't damage anything. If you just want thin impact sockets for general use the only ones I know of are the GP duo sockets.

The MAC site *****, so I cant verify if they're available in 3/8" Drive (Swear I've seen em on a sale flyer), but I've got a set of the 1/2" MAC Edge Impacts...Love em. Wouldn't recommend anything else. Call it placebo effect or whatever, but I find the MAC Edge works awesome on old rusty nuts & bolts...here in Maine, that's important. Every vehicle older then 2006 has rust issues...LOL
