As the title suggests I'm getting a new box. The price difference is very small between the 2. Mac would be red and Cornwell could be red or black. Snap On priced themselves out of the game so thats not an option.

I'd go Cornwell.. I had a 67in, I guess you'd call it a double bay it had one full length top drawers and then all the rest went about 50in the it had a bank of 18in on the right.. It had six casters and was real nice, built well all the 4 n 6in deep drawers had dual slides.only reason I got rid of it and went with a new matco 4s was it was to tall for me and I wanted an orange box... I'm 6'1 and it was like 47 high it was weird to me that high...so might be somthin to look at.. Other than that I liked it.. It was burgundy

Good luck with your search.. I have never really had a chance to play with a macsimiser but I have heard from more than one that there not that great..for what it's worth I really love my matco 4s

Both companies make a really nice tool box. Buy the one that gives you the most bang for the buck including space, layout and looks. Ultimately, you have to like working out of it.

The drawer layouts are completely different and the drawer retention systems are different. The Cornwell uses a latch system and the MAC uses an adjustable detent system. I haven't tried the new MAC system, but I have tried the Cornwell. The Cornwell latch system is very easy to use and the drawer handles are very comfortable.

What series Mac? I love the Cornwell boxes. The drawer pulls are the best IMO. They are ridiculously deep as deep as a SO epic. I had a Mac tech 1000 and it was a great box. Go with what ever one offers the most actual storage space. My Cornwell dealer had a 67 on his truck and that thing was a monster. You could not open drawers all the way because they would hit the other side of the truck. What about the Cornwell 84"? Is that one in the same range? If the Mac is a tech series then I say Cornwell if it is a macsimiser then get the Mac

Sorry but what series is that? I looked on macs site and did not see model numbers. Maybe it was my phone. I really like the Cornwell boxes and almost bought a 67. It was the special series that came with a rifle. He was givin 1k off if you did not want the rifle

The Mac is a maximiser. The mac setup would be bigger square inches. I pull the trigger tomorrow. Both are giving a great deal so we'll see what follows me home....

One thing about the Mac is that the adjustable detent system is very, very comfortable. I have worked out of a Snap On on one end of the shop and a Mac on the other and even after years of using them I still get annoyed with the slide locks. I have always liked the grab and go of the Mac.

I would get the Mac. For around the same money and bigger. Does the Mac have a SS top? I know all the Cornwells come with it. The Cornwell is very similar in size to the SnapOn epiq. How close in price are we talking?

Got the Mac. I think I got a great deal on it. It includes the MB1900A box plus the Stainless steel top and the Hutch on top of it.

I traded a 5 year old 58 inch cornwell box and $6165 plus tax for it.

I will be the first to say it. Pics or it did not happen. Good choice. What Cornwell box would it have been? Hutch as well? I for some reason really like the new Cornwell boxes

Having owned a Macsimizer since '99 I will say that they are built like Brick S**thouses. I also have a KRL722 and the quality of the Mac box is every bit as good as the Snappy. It's lasted 13 years, been moved from shop to shop 4 separate times. Probably several miles of rolling around in the shop and it's still very solid, no issues, and packed full of tools. I will say when I bought it they were made in the USA. Now, I have no idea. But if anyone is looking for a box a used Macsimizer is an excellent choice and value.

Still getting used to this thing. It takes several steps to walk past it.
