Looks well worth it to me.
My philosophy when coming upon tools or toolboxes in really good shape that aren't 'steal' prices, but fairly priced is this...be prepared to pay what they're asking, maybe attempt to dicker down a little, but be prepared to pay asking price.
Because it may be awhile, if you do find another deal like that. And someone may end up beating you to it if you do.
I bought a really nice Snap on toolbox top and middle last year for my own use. It was a good deal, not a steal, but good, and I've yet to see those boxes for sale in anywhere close to the shape mine are in.

Just keep in mind that's not a real MAC box; it's made by Beach of Canada. I'm telling you now so that you don't find out later.

Hmmmmm toolbox -boat toolbox - boat . Ok I decided Boat 1974 Larson 1700 Shark with mercruiser Inboard Outboard setup. The guy bought it new in 74 and hasnt had it out in 3 years so he decided it was time for a new owner $450.00. I Tested the motor and drive all good and he put aluminum floors in it 4 years ago so no rotten wood just needs a gooooooooood cleanup.

I used to own an MB1500A and I've seen the box in question in person ... they are not even close to each other in sheet metal thickness or quality. The Economizer series is akin to a red and gray Craftsman box; or more accurately, a Husky box.

I have that same box. bought mine new about 12 years ago or so, right after they first came out. I bought it as a box for home where I wanted something more than the Cman series bit did not want to spend the big bucks on a toolbox.
its a decent box but not a top of the line box.
the top drawer is great for all the sockets and operated smooth in the roller slides.
the lower drawers are friction slides and are about the same as Cman friction slides.
overall the grade of the box is similar to what you find with most of the cman now.
at the time I bought it, it was a good box for the money. one reason is that nobody but the big boys had the big top drawer at the time, now many toolboxes have it.
for $350 if the box is in good shape I think it will serve you well.
I keep debating about selling mine and stepping up to a bigger box, bit I think in the end I will keep it and retask it.

I guess i should have added a little more to that post, was in a hurry to get to work.
I should admit i was just trying to be an@ss hole about things. That box at that price is a steal no matter were it was made. I also know there are a lot of people who only want to buy USA made products on this board, which is dumb. So the hole "it's made by Beach of Canada. I'm telling you now so that you don't find out later." Is a bit if a tick off, But every one is in titled to there opinion.
But to close this up before it stirs up more Sh#t Buy the box it will service you well

Jim look back up several posts I picked a boat over the box . I have plenty of storage at the moment and was lacking a boat so I went that way . I figure the "w"hole argument is a mute point at this point cause somebody else now owns that box and I have a new " to me " boat .
