So i am having a hard time seeing anything in pictures on the web. Is there a difference between Edge vs Precision Torque sockets. I just bought a set of 1/2" Drive deep Precision Torque and they kick ***. Had 12 nuts/bolts that were rusted badly and they worked extremely well in combination with my FD+ wrenches.

I am wondering are the Edge made in USA where the Precision Torque is Taiwan? Is the Edge only in chrome? Do they even offer the Edge sockets any more? Are the edge a different pattern inside the socket?

The patterns are different, the edge sockets have the grooves centered in the flats, where the precision torque have grooves offset so they bite sooner when loosening.

I was told the edge sockets have been discontinued and the precision torque is their replacement. :dunno: I have both and I like both, no complaints. I have never rounded a fastener with either one but it seems like the precision torque aught to work a little better on very rusty stuff.

Edge had ribs/teeth biased to only work in removal. New precision torque work in either direction. Edge has been discontinued. Both made in Taiwan and both also came as impacts in addition to chrome. Edge were also available as ratcheting wrenches (6pt box ends).
