Mac EDGE vs Tech

Can anybody provide some input on how these boxes differ? Mac's website is basically useless for specs and comparing, and I don't have a truck guy. Looking hard at the used market and they're in the $1-2k range, the 41" EDGE being cheaper than the 51" Tech 1000. The 44" US General is also hard to ignore at ~1/3 the price, but I really want a step up in quality.

Edge is their lowest tier. Tech series is comparable to a classic snappy in my opinion.

Yeah I'm kinda worried the Edge would be a Waterloo Craftsman with lipstick at 5x the price.
