I just picked up a 3HP Mac compressor second hand for $170. It appears to be a rebranded IR. It's been neglected for a bit, and I want to get it going again. I'm unable to find a single google hit for the model "MT3E30". Anyone have any clue where I could get some kind of documentation that might help me? Parts diagrams or manual type things?
Also, can anyone see a problem with replacing the plug with a Nema 5-50? I have wired two 5-50 receptacles on 50 amp circuits in my shop. (Using 6/2 wire). Obviously, the wiring is overkill for this, but I'm assuming that wont be a problem. The current plug looks like it was designed to go in a 3 pronged dryer outlet.
