Mac MB1351 value?

Found a local add for an MB1351 box, no pictures but I figured I'd go have a look. I figured if it's all there and rolls it would be worth $1500...I got there, 2 swivel wheels are broken off completely, a couple drawer slides are missing but all drawers are there, overall rough shape, I ended up walking away at $1000 as I'm not familiar with Mac boxes, is this worth anything? I figure for $600-$700 I could make it a decent box but I figure I'd do some homework before spending anything on it. Any way it look at it I'll be into it for close to $2000 if I end up buying it and fixing it.

Depends on the condition of the metal (rust, paint fade, bent, stretched, etc), but from your "overall rough shape" comment I think you were wise to walk away at that price unless you just absolutely love that box. The broken off wheels are cause for alarm and are going to make moving it a royal pain in the rear.

As mentioned above, probably best to stay clear unless the deal is that good and you really want it. If the box was dropped off the back of a truck or something and broke the wheels, then the overall cabinet could be bent and the drawers wouldn't open/close properly. Hard to say without seeing pics. Shame, nice box otherwise.
